Free 2011 Summer Concert Series in Paramus, New Jersey by Ann Joyce
Bergen County, New Jersey is a vibrant community with a wide array of family entertainment options available throughout the year. The county is located just a few minutes from New York City in northern New Jersey.
Summer is a particularly busy time in Bergen County for fairs, festivals and outdoor concerts!
Each summer, Bergen Regional Medical Center puts on an outdoor music series that is really wonderful. Families travel from all over the county and other parts of New Jersey and New York State to enjoy this special event.
The Bergen Regional Medical Center's free summer concert series begins with a Steel Pan Caribbean Cruise Party on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the BRMC Gazebo. Experience the excitement of Calypso, Soca, the Limbo, and Reggae with the island music of Belafonte, Marley, Jimmy Buffet, and much more.
The free summer concert series continues with the Baby Boomers on Tuesday, August 9 at 7:00 pm at the BRMC Gazebo. This summer concert features music from Woodstock to the "Big Chill" and beyond. The playlist includes songs from the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, the Beach Boys, Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, Crosby Stills and Nash, Dylan, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and more.
In the event there is rain, the Steel Pan Caribbean Cruise Party will be held on July 13 and the Baby Boomers will be held on August 10, same time same place.
Bring your own chairs and blankets, and remember alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the grounds of Bergen Regional Medical Center.
